What is “reasonable”
A reasonable accommodation is one of fair housing’s “hot topics”. This typically accounts for over 50% of the fair housing complaints to HUD in the past year. Reasonable accommodations can be requested during the application process, during the tenancy, and during an eviction. It is important to learn the correct procedure to ask for, review and implement this important action. Reasonable accommodations are requested because of a disability of either physical or mental issues. It is important that one understands the definition of disability and when it comes into play to allow a disabled person to enjoy the same quality of life as a non- disabled individual.
This course has all the recent updates on Assistive Animals that came out from HUD on February 1, 2020 – FHOE Notice 2020-21, also known as “Assistive Animals Notice.”
Join this session by expert speaker Paul Flogstad, where he will discuss the HUD’s Reasonable Accommodation, complaints encountered with this as well as the latest HUD Notice of February 2020.
