Workplace diversity encompasses many differences including protected class characteristics and more. All differences can be chunked into generally shared categories, except for one, personalities. Just as no two fingerprints are identical, neither are any two people’s personalities. To ensure not only diversity tolerance but also appreciation, it beings with understanding ourselves better, recognizing the “3+1” general types of people, learning more about all DiSC® personality styles, and finally, exploring ways to better relate to others.
